HabitatWet meadow with dense turf over fine dark loam held in place, despite fairly steep slopes of canyon bottom and sides, bu extensive network of roots; springs feeding small streams that irrigate meadow; w. grasses, Carex spp., Juncus spp., Mimulus futtatus, Runex salicifolius, Potentilla, Trifolium wormskioldii, T. monanthum. etc., surrounding dry slopes w lodgepole pine forest w sparse understory of Penstemon caesius, Carex rossii, etc. No woody plants in center of mdw.
