Locality Olancha Peak; On Sierra crest backbone, north of peak. Located on the county line along the crest of the Sierra Nevada, and within the Inyo National Forest; 5.2 miles WSW of the town of Olancha.

HabitatUncommon herb on gravel flat in alpine fell field against boulder. With Epilobium sp., Phlox dispersa, Raillardella sp, Erigeron sp, Calyptridium sp, Oreonana clementis, Selaginella watsonii, Antennaria (brown tipped), Festuca brachyphylla, Lupinus breweri, Ribes inebrians, Eriogonum ovalifolium (pink), Sitanion sp, Draba breweri, Potentilla pseudosericea, Leptodactylon pungens and Castilleja nana.
