macromorphologyA fairly common perennial, this apparently parasitic of Artemisia douglasiana. Bracts brown at base, green center, red at tip; calyx green at base, yellow center, red at tip; corolla maroon-red at base, brownish-red at tip of galea. Calyx not split much deeper dorsally than ventrally. Foliage sticky.
