macromorphologyOpen area at edge of dunes. Alkaline clay soil (dunes had acted as a dam for water in this area). Associated with Phacelia, Mentzelia, Baileya, Nama, Oligomeris, Prosopis. Mostly annual growth. Uncommon shrub, grayish-canescent; fls. grenadine.
