macromorphologyScattered. Erect annual herb, reddish, hairy, leaves tomentose, long-petioled, proximal leaf-like bracts persistent. Involucre tube narrowly cylindric, ribbed, thinly hairy, 6 teeth of alternating lengths, awns hooked. Perianth rose, hairy, long-exserted, lobes entire, oblong, +- unequal, inner +- narrower, shorter.
