macromorphologySpreading annual, fls. bright purple. Occasional, w/N. californicum on sandy hummock perched on upper flank of steep rocky S-facing slope. Soils from volcanic and metamorphic parent materials with variable aeolian sand deposits. More common out on flats and in washes.
