macromorphologyHerb to 0.7 m, with taproot. Stem thickened, whitish tan basally, thinner branches reddish. Leaves deep sea-green. Petiole and midrib white below. Involucral bracts dark green. Ray florets bright yellow. Disc florets with corolla, stamens and style yellow-orange. Photos.
