Voucher information | macromorphology | Approx. 20-30 mature cypress that survived the Cedar Fire of October 2003 from a pre-fire population of thousands, as well as tens of thousands of cypress seedlings present on site thatestablished after the 2003 fire. Root crown base diameter of 14 cm, height of 4 m, and crown diameter of 3 m. Seedling heights range from 3 cm to 60 cm. The specimen established following the Conejos Burn of 1950. Its crown was partially burned in the 2003 fire. It had both open and closed cones in the live crown, and all cones were open in the scorched crown area.
