macromorphologyShrub, c. 1 m tall; ray and disc fls. yellow. This year's vertical shoots arising from larger, straight horizontal stems (presumably shoots from previous years), the whole plant expanding this way. Locally common on roadside seeps, both sides of Pacific Island Dr. at and near small unmarked square structure on southwest side of street.
