macromorphologyCommon annual, but mostly as dead skeletons from last year; plants not yet flowering at all this year. Vegetatively similar to H. pungens laevis, but distinguishable before flowering in that the lower lf. surfaces are strongly pubescent rather than smooth or slightly pubescent.
