Locality About 0.25 miles northeast of Clausen, Keck and Heisey common garden site at Camp Mather along boundary of Sierra National Forest.

HabitatWest facing granite outcrop in openings among Arctostaphylos viscida, Quercus kelloggii, and Quercus chrysolepis surrounded by dense Pinus ponderosa and Calocedrus decurrens forest. Growing with Mimulus torreyi(887), Mimulus guttatus, Mimulus filicaulis, and Mimulus floribundus. About 100 individuals observed, all in flower.
