Locality Cajon Pass. Cajon Wash: Near 'Blue Cut' and 'Keenbrook,' ca. 4-5 road miles S of Hwy 138 jtn. w/ I-15 Freeway.

HabitatWash is open sandy and rocky substrate; alluvial benches covered by alluvial scrub, incl. Lepidospartum squamatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, etc. Riparian scrub (Salix lasiolepis, Baccharis salicifolia) occurs along stream. Uncomm. Annual; streamside and recently-scoured wash. Lowest lemma ca. 2 mm; palea slightly > lemma. Palea teeth more elongate than illustration in Jepson Manual (1993).
