More information: Jepson Online Interchange
Collector, number, date CNPS SN Foothill Team, SNFN 0172 c, 2005-5-24

County Butte
Locality City of Chico, Upper Bidwell Park, in the northern 1/4 of the park, on the west side of Big Chico Creek, about 75 m from the canyon rim.
Elevation 338 m
HabitatThe plot was chosen to represent the open blue oak savannah vegetation in the upper reaches of the canyon. The stand consists of scattered blue oaks and a few Pinus sabiniana in the overstory, some shrubby poison oak in the shrub layer, and a diverse herbaceous layer consisting of both native and introduced grasses and forbs. Although there are no fire scars in the plot, there is evidence of fire in the nearby vegetation. The fire may have created a mosaic.
