Locality | TNC Dye Creek Preserve, immediately south of Dye Creek Proper, about 1/3 mile past the confluence below a large bluff. To access, take trail running north of Dye Creek from headquarters about 2 miles, then continue along south fork of canyon. |

Habitat | Riparian mixed forest dominated by Alnus, Umbellularia, and Fraxinus, with well-developed understory of young Umbellularia, Fraxinus, Calycanthus, and Styrax. The ground layer is primarily litter with Toxicodendron diversilobum, Aristolochia, and Carex spp. There is an abundance of fallen limbs and trunks. The eastern boundary of plot is a small creek (maybe seasonal) and the northern boundary is 1 mile form Dye Creek. There is grazing throughout reserve but unlikely at this site due to the topography. |
