Locality Sacramento Valley Conservancy, close to the southern boundary of the Deer Creek Hills Reserve, about 200 m south of a medium-sized creek that runs east to west across the reserve.

HabitatThe plot is 300 m west of a dirt road running through the bottom of a shallow grassy valley between two patches of blue oak woodland. The stand is dominated by blue oak with no shrub layer and an understory dominated by introduced grasses, Erodium botrys, etc. The site is part of the Deer Creek Hills reserve and is actively grazed by cattle. The site has been grazed by cattle for at least the last 40 years.
