Habitat | The plot is located on/near a ridge-top surrounded by Blue Oak Woodland and California Annual Grassland. The plot consists of herbaceous vegetation dominated by Mimulus guttatus growing in a wet area probably originating from a seep or spring. There is some standing water, the soil is completely saturated. Some of the standing water is in cattle hoof prints. The stand is next to a road, and similar vegetation would probably continue in the area occupied by the road. There is evidence of cattle grazing in and around the plot. | ||||
