HabitatFrom a population of 25-30 trees ranging in size fom saplings (under 5 cm. diam.) to ca. 60 cm; many with multiple trunks; some apparently deciduous; north-facing slope, in a chaparral community associated with Heteromeles arbutifolia, Rubus ursinus, Cercocarpus minutiflora, Ribes speciosum, and Toxicodendron diversilobium.
