HabitatForest and chaparral on gentle, N-facing slope, with rocky soil derived from gabbro parent material. Quercus, Adenostoma, Heteromeles, Wyethia, Pinus, and Arctostaphylos. Locally abundant. Perennial herb, up to 0.2 m tall.
