HabitatArtic Cyn.; steep sided canyon below carbonate mountainsides to E and W. Conspicuous overstory. Fairly uncommon perennial. Flowers bright orange-red. Stem joints ca. 15 cm tall, ca. 6 cm dia,; in a clump ca. 0.8 m dia.
