Locality Audubon Bobcat Ranch. West side of ranch, north of Hwy 128, near western property boundary. Lower reaches of Bray Canyon. East side. Area has burned three times in the last three years.
Elevation 123 m
HabitatWest-facing, forty-five degree slope with Dichelostemma capitatum, Acmispon brachycarpus, Eschscholzia caespitosa. Slope is above oak woodland and south of slump that has evidence of being old creek/river mouth with cobbles. Soil is deep and friable Millsholm loam. Annual herb. About 500 plants here. Rays are being eaten by an insect, as are the poppies.
