|Locality||McLaughlin UC Reserve. Northwest of old town of Knoxville.|
|Habitat||Growing on serpentine gravel. Annual herb. Corolla with wide band of hairs below midpoint of tube. Stamens attached much higher up in the throat. Throat is a dark maroon color. Lobes have dried a purple-blue color. Tube is pale maroon. The tube of the corolla is less than or equal to the calyx, not exerted. The stigma is yellow and ca. 0.6 mm long. This specimen did not key well. The color of the throat is not usually maroon.|
