Locality West side of Tahoe Basin. D.L. Bliss State Park. Along Rubicon Trail on east side of park.

HabitatMontane chaparral patch upslope of trail on east-facing slope. Fairly uniform-height (3-5 ft tall) shrubs with two large pines (one P. jeffreyi, the other P. lambertiana) and some pine juveniles within shrubs. Chaparral is 80% manzanita (A. patula) and 20% a mixture of Quercus vaccinifolia, Ceanothus velutinus, and Chrysolepis sempervirens. Shrub to 3 ft tall. Specimen from two individuals, one with grey leaf undersides.
