Locality McLaughlin Natural Reserve. Off Morgan Valley Road, 0.5 km Southeast on Pipeline Road East.
Elevation 696 m
HabitatSouth-facing slope, in serpentine soil, in full sun, at the edge of a dense chaparral dominated by Adenostoma fasciculatum, along with Quercus durata and a few individuals of Fremontodendron sp. No other individuals of this species found nearby. Approximately 50 cm tall woody shrub. The plant was in the late stage of fruiting when collected.
