Locality Southwestern corner of the Tahoe Basin. Washoe Meadows State Park. Near Grizzly Mountain Road in Meyers. Along trail with sewer manholes that travels from Grizzly Mountain Road to dry meadow.

HabitatSmall fen opening in moist pine/fir forest with Drosera, Carex, Dodacatheon, Micranthes oregana, Vaccinium. Uncommon small shrub growing near Vaccinium on hummocks with mosses. Flowers pink. Corollas fall off easily.
