County Yolo
Locality Eastern edge of the City of Woodland. Property owned by the City of Woodland. North of Gibson Road extension on E side of Pole Line Rd. (County Rd. 102); north of existing sewer plant in an area that once had evaporation ponds. Area was recently used as borrow pit for the raised soil slab that has been prepared for the Woodland- Davis water treatment plant construction project (for clean drinking water.) Borrow pit is just south of that slab.

HabitatSoil is Pescadero silty clay, saline, alkaline soil high in salts and boron. Water table is high and so drainage ditches that cross area E to Wand are filled with water. Plants have come up from the seed bank, including Atriplex rosea, Amaranthus albus, Crypsis, Heliotropium, Sesuvium verrucosum, and Chenopodium rubrum. Common annual. Mostly dried out now.
