Locality ca. 10,450' in lower (northern) hald of 2-mile long, glaciated multiple-lake basin, headwaters of S. Fk. Bear Crk. Large 3/4 m. lake in s. shalf. 13,075' 7-gables l plus m. e. florence L. 6 map-miles w-sw.
HabitatVery sparse scattered subalpine forest in this half of basin; lodgepole forest next canyon step 300' lower; rare Krumholtz clumps to 11,500' in favored spots - general aspect bear granite. Marginal mead. spots along lakes - streams. This small yellow Carex marginal to ponds on a moss base.
