Locality Trumbull Peak, Stanislaus National Forest. About 10 air miles W of Yosemite Valley and 4 air miles NW of El Portal. Just N of Sierra National Forest and Merced River. Between Ned and Dry Gulchs.

HabitatScattered canyon live oak woodland on phyllite rich metamorphic rock outcrop. On rock talus and in rock crevices. Associated with Pinus sabiniana, Eriophyllum congdonii, Phacelia vallicola, Lewisia congdonii, Streptanthus tortuosus, and Arenaria douglasii. State listed rare place. Aspect 270-300 degrees. W-NW facing.
