Locality At end of Phoenix Road, Kent Woodlands, northeast of Mt. Tamalpais.
HabitatEvergreen tree ca. 50 feet tall, conical, with straight tapering trunk, bark reddish-brown, branches horizontal, leaves in flat sprays; on open, east-facing slope, in chaparral with Arctostaphylos glandulosa, Arbutus menziesii, Quercus, Baccharis, Pickeringia, Dendromecon, etc.; ca. 50 yards up dirt road.
