Locality City of Davis, northern part. In field at end of Encina Ave.

HabitatGrowing wild in a field, scattered sparsely around. Low moisture, no slope, bright light. Clumps of this plant here and there. About five inches tall. Vine plant with flower that are white with pink sepals. The rhizome contains a resinous glycoside (convolvuline) and tannin. The leaves are rich in tannin, but contain less of the resin.
