HabitatAlluvial slope, sandy loam, with Juniper woodland of Juniperus californica, Quercus john-tuckeri, Ephedra nevadensis, Ericameria cooperi, E. linearifolia, Salvia dorrii, Stipa speciosa, etc. Very common 3-4 m shrubs.
