Locality Tahoe National Forest. Along Pacific Crest Trail just after the trail goes from the east side of the crest to the west side of the crest.
Elevation 2270 m
HabitatSunny side of a west-facing slope, relatively open. Rocky area with huckleberry oak. Red fir and mountain hemlock forest occurs a little below this spot, but not here. Shrub-like perennial, 20-25 cm tall, many stems from the base, occasionally branched above, stem clearly 5-ridged, inflorescence umbel-like. Flower was radial with two green nectar glands at petal base.
