Locality southcentral Mojave Desert, northern end of Sheep Hole Mountains, large canyon east of microwave tower at summit of Sheep Hole Pass.
Elevation 762 m
HabitatRocky canyon, steep mountain slopes and alluvial bench. (Note: 14'19' N, 43'09' W at base; 13'51' N, 42'22' W at top). Uncommon perennial among rocks at edges of wash on canyon bottom and also on rocky slopes; flowers dull orange. Foliage strongly and unpleasantly scented.
