Locality Western Transverse Range: Cuyama Valley. Mouth of Apache Canyon. 0.4 mile east of Hwy. 33.

HabitatN-facing slopes with pinyon-juniper woodland of Pinus monophylla, Juniperus californica (uncommon) and Quercus john-tuckeri. Canyon bottom with Artemisia tridentata scrub with a few junipers on benches above sandy wash. Uncommon subshrub to 60 cm tall, in wash; fls. Cream. Frt. Shining and reddish-green.
