HabitatSub-shrub (intimately combined with and given shelter by Viguiera sp.) ca 15' high, rounded; stems and lvs grey-green; flwrs vivid, yellow except for reddish buds and fading flwrs. Fairly common here, with Prunus fremontii, Agave deserti, Mirabilis sp., Nama sp., etc. (Also numerous and flwring along site 15 W of Hwy 74.)
