Locality Volcan Mountain, Volcan Mountain Foundation property, 4.3 air mi north of Julian and 0.4 air mi north and upslope from Ironside Spring, a few yards south of Volcan Road in area formerly known as Hunter's Camp.
HabitatBurned (Volcan Fire, 2005) mixed conifer forest. Sedges and rushes Cirsium vulgare, Taraxacum officinale. At margin of unpaved road, compact sandy soil. Growing under roadside shrubs in partial shade.
