HabitatS-facing rocky slope of mixed granite, limestone, and metamorphic rocks and gravel. Blackbrush scrub with Yucca baccata, Y. brevifolia, Y. schidigera, Opuntia acanthocarpa, Ephedra nevadensis, Pleuraphis rigida, Ferocactus cylindraceus, Bouteloua spp., Erioneuron pulchellum, Gutierrezia microcephala, Thymophylla pentacheata.
