Locality Great Basin; East of Sierra Nevada region: GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: Conspicuous conical peak 3094 at S end of Glass Mountain Ridge. Appx. 6.5 air-miles ENE of Benton Crossing of Owens River.
Habitat28-degree E-facing brown volcanic cinder cone with psychedelically colored lichens. Windswept coarse cobbly slopes. Low scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Eriogonum umbellatum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Purshia tridentata. With Hesperostipa comata, Koeleria macrantha, Penstemon speciosus, Castilleja linariifolia, Monardella odoratissima, Leptodactylon pungens, \nPhlox stansburyi.
