Locality Sierra National Forest; 1.5 km by air due E of Jerseydale, 0.7 km SE of Blue Glory Mine, on Skelton Creek Trail that follows drainage from end of Skelton Creek Road to E. C. Carter homestead at confluence of Skelton Creek and Devil Gulch.

HabitatCa 100 ft above tributary of Skelton Cr., steep, hot, SW-facing slope of sparsely vegetated rock outcrop, talus of metasedimentary rocks (phyllite) with veins of limestone. In fissures and underhangs where minerals crust from seepage.; Outcrop dominated by Selaginella hansenii with 20-50% cover, otherwise sparsely vegetated.
