HabitatExposed windswept hilltop covered by Artemisia tridentata scrub, surrounded by Pinus jefftyi forest on leeward slopes. Decomposed pumice ashfall soil with occsaional quartz lattite outcrops.; Purshia tridentata, Grayia spinosa, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Ceanothus velutinus Tetradymia canescens, Achnatherum hymenoides, Lupinus argenteus, Chysothamnus viscidiflorus.
