Locality Verdugo Mountains North side of Verdugo Mountains. Entered west of Haines Canyon Park off of Estepa Drive in Tujunga. Followed ridge southwest, then dropped down from ridge west into a small tributary northwest of this ridge. Tributary is north of the 210 Freeway. South of freeway will drain into La Tuna Canyon. On low ridge on east side of canyon, near canyon bottom.

associated speciesGentle slope that burned in August 1999. Associated plants included: Quercus berberidifolia (resprouting), Adenostoma fasciculatum, Sambucus mexicana, Lotus scoparius, Cercocarpus betuloides, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Hirschfeldia incana, Acourtia microcephala, Vulpia myuros, Bromus madritensis rubens, Cryptantha intermedia, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Eriastrum sapphirinum, Navarretia hamata, Hazardia squarrosa grindelioides, Marah macrocarpus, Delphinium cardinale, D. parryi, Phacelia cicutaria hispida, Stephanomeria virgata, Lessingia filaginifolia, and Cirsium occidentale occidentale.
