Habitat | Sand, periodically wet, dry now, near seepage slope saturated with salts and ancient spring upwelling forming conspicuous raised dome deposit above desert.; Mojave Desert. Assemblage of desert springs species, including Deschampsia danthonioides, Distichlis spicata, Plagiobothrys parishii, Juncus bufonius, Lepidium dictyotum, Puccinellia parishii, Hesperochiron californicus, and the exotic Schismus barbatus, Polypogon monspeliensis, Bromus tectorum, and red brome.; Infrequent bushy-branched herbaceous perennial, erect, local, blueish-green; not yet in flower, with dried fruits on previous season's stems. |
