|Habitat||Pale brown high wind-deposited sand dunes, deep deposits, granitic sand, separated by lower level washes.; Sonoran desert. Sparse desert - dune vegetation, dominated by Cercidium floridum, Larrea tridentata, Oenothera deltoides, spring herb layer.; Rather common annual herb. Flowers yellow, erect, opening at dusk; stems and taproot white, pithy. Foliage and fruits adhering to clothing.|
