Locality South side of California Route 138 (Pearblossom Highway) just east of Palmdale and about 1 mile west of Little Rock; west side of Little Rock Wash. Elevation about 2820 feet.
HabitatSandy soil with gravel, dry outwash plain.; Southwestern Mojave Desert, Joshua tree - Atriplex - mesquite - creosote flats.; Flowers pale blue-purple, bracts reddish-maroon, foliage grey-green, glaucous. Infrequent rounded shrub about 0.5 meter tall with pleasant sage aroma.
