Voucher information
population biologyExceedingly variable; material here distributed has pink flowers, becoming purplish, with petals 4-5 mm. long, the apex usually notched rather than obcordate. At this season no 'turions' are found, but the plants from the wettest places bear at the base a series of 'cotyledonlike scales.' The seed sometimes narrows toward the apex, but is more commonly narrowly obovoid; it is always minutely striate-roughened. Individual local specimens are referable to many supposed species.
