HabitatRocky slopes at west side of creek, granite sandy loam. Evergreen chaparral-shrubland, degraded, much of it cleared for avocado farms. Flower buds pale purplish, stems and calices pale sandy brown, leaves slightly paler beneath, infrequent (1 seen) few-branched soft woody shrub with stems about 2.5 meters long, pushed over on roadside bank by weight of other shrubs.
