HabitatDry meadow w/scattered trees on alluvial bench on cyn bottom, sandy loam w/rocks.Could be old orchard site, but vegetation ooked natural, w/no sign of former occupation; possibly a few spp. Escaped from cultivation at Mtn Home.

NotesOccurrence Remarks: Grove of 74 trees, 2-9 m tall; oldest (75-100 yr) dead but 45 cm dbh, live trees 6-12 cm; corollas pale yellow, mostly w/4 lobes, but occ. 5. Grove, all female?, poss. From sprouts of old tree. Fruits produced; but seeds? Discovered ca. 1983 by Goodman. Bark dark & deeply fissured into blocks; covered w/lichens.;
