Habitatopen distributed mixed Coastal sage Scrub. Baccharis sarothroides dominant shrub with herb layer mostly Bromus rubens/ Erodium cicutarium. Sandy loam soil.

macromorphologyPerennial herb wit several ascending branches ca. 1.5 to 2.5 feet tall. Woody at base. Legume 1-celleds, membranous, inflated. Calyx 5-toothed, pale green. Corolla yellowish-white, papilionaceous, Stamens diadelphous, 9=1. Anthers dark orange, included. Note: Pods not greatly oblique or pubscent as desribed in Munz, 1974.
