HabitatZayante sandflats. Open, with scattered annual and perennial herbs. Associated species include Mondardella undulata, Eriogonum nudum spp. decurrens, Chorizanthe pungens var. hartwegiana.

Voucher information
macromorphologyPerennial herb with basal rosette of succulent leaves. Flowers pink with white, scarious sepals. Mature individuals in the 1,000's, immature seedlings number in the 10,000's.
