Locality | SE part of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Between the Coyote Mts and Jacumba Mts. ~9 miles NW of the town of Ocotillo in Imperial County. 1.5 miles W of Imperial County line. SW side of Hwy S2 at large pullout with shallow basin on S part of pullout. |

Habitat | Shallow basin or low point roughly 20m x 50m. This low point with reddish-brown silt (muddy from rain in last day), and mixed w/ whiter granitic sand/silt. Surrounding land sloping gently down to E, but this basin had no apparent surface drainage out. |
