Lake in granite but upper half Red Mt. basalt. Pinus murrayana around lake, P. monticola on 9423' and to basalt contact on Red Mt., Junipers glaciated granite cliffs to N, Populus tremuloides thickets among basalt blocks S-SW upper slopes Red Mt.
